This styled shoot was so fun to take part in. I love an opportunity to meet other photographers, learn from their styles and experience, and gain some awesome practice and skills that I can take with me into my upcoming weddings and sessions. After three months off due to the Covid-19 statewide lockdown, this styled shoot couldn’t have come at a better time. I was so ready to get back out here and shoot, and just as lockdowns and photography restrictions started to lift, I saw an IG story from Sophia Jones saying she was putting together a styled shoot only 30 minutes from my house. Yes please!
Our models for this boho styled elopement were a real-life husband and wife who wore their own wedding attire. I’m obsessed with Victoria’s engagement ring that features Kyle’s grandmother’s diamond in a gorgeous custom setting that was designed to match the wedding band her grandpa gave her. I live for personal meaning in details like that!
This styled shoot was so simple and yet my favorite one I’ve done. Sophia provided just a little bit of decor which worked seamlessly into the stunning Watchung Reservation backdrops. And Lu Costa, owner of Wild Blooms Photography, not only joined us as a photographer on the shoot but also constructed one of the most breathtaking bouquets I have ever seen out of flowers she picked up from Whole Foods (DIY brides, this bouquet is calling your name!)
